Meet the Doctor
Dr. Steinys

Dr. Steinys is a native Chicagoan. She developed an interest in health while volunteering at a women's health center. From her personal experience in dance and sports and suffering from low back pain at a young age, Dr. Steinys learned the benefits of chiropractic care. The chiropractic physician understands not only the illness or symptoms but also the context in which they are occurring, the patient's life. Dr. Steinys seeks to find the core of the symptoms and help patients to correct that in order to then alleviate the problem. Patients become active partners in their continuous well-being through instruction on ways to maintain health after active treatment ends.

In addition to working at her private practice, Dr. Steinys also serves as a clinician at National University of Health Sciences. She has been an instructor of anatomy at National University of Health Sciences as well. She has taught anatomy and neuroanatomy at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She has completed courses in Movement Systems Rehabilitation, Graston myofascial technique, Thompson Drop and Cox technique. She is licensed to practice acupuncture under the Illinois Medical Practice Act and has completed the diplomate coursework in acupuncture. She is a certified Webster Technique practioner. She has completed perinatal fitness instructor training through Healthy Moms. Dr. Steinys is also working toward completing her diplomate in pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Dr. Steinys is an active member of the Bucktown community. Core Chiropractic has volunteered at the following events: Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, The Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, Twin Cities-Chicago AIDS Ride, Lakeshore Marathon, Hustle Up the Hancock, and the Main Course.

In her rare, spare time, Dr. Steinys enjoys running, yoga, and travel. She has even trained with some of her patients for races.

She attended National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) where she received a B.S. in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Steinys received a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from DePaul University.
